Associated Partners

As a result of the exploitation activity a number of associated partners officially joined the project in order to contribute to the improvement of the project impact on their target groups and to ensure the project sustainability by continuing using the project deliverables in the next years.

The associate partners of the I Have Rights project are organizations interested in promoting the awareness of human rights at school.  All associated partners share the project objectives and are willing to contribute to their achievement.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki (UNESCO YCT) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, based in Thessaloniki. Founded in 2004, UNESCO YCT works under the auspices of the Hellenic National UNESCO Committee. It is a member of the Greek Federation of Clubs, Associations and Centers of UNESCO.

Based on the fundamental goals of UNESCO the UNESCO YCT is guided be the following axis: education, science, culture, information and communication. Our goal is to bring those axis into proportion to match the young peoples’ needs, prioritizing their voice in formulating our agenda.

The activities of the UNESCO YCT are based on volunteerism. In its thirteen years of existence, UNESCO YCT has supported and organized a lot of activities in the fields of culture, education, and science. Organizing public events; promoting the International Days launched by UNESCO; scheduling seminars of formal and non-formal education; realizing regional projects with partner NGOs from other countries; running actions based on volunteerism; dealing with issues concerning the Monuments of the World Cultural Heritage of the city of Thessaloniki, are only some examples of what has been done through the previous years.

UNESCO YCT has been a partner in more than 500 youth exchange programs, giving the opportunity to almost 4000 young people to participate and live the unique experience of non-formal education. Through their participation, young people have acquired valuable experience, as they have managed to get in touch with other cultures and share their perspectives on topics concerning youth.

UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki runs a large number of programs. Regional initiatives in cooperation with NGOs, Foundations and International Organizations, as well as youth exchange programs are only some of our scheduled activities. UNESCO YCT has been a partner in more than 500 youth exchange programs, giving the opportunity to almost 4000 young people to participate and live the unique experience of non-formal education.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
As an NGO, UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki is a member of many national, regional and international networks. Among others:the Hellenic National Council for Youth, the European Network ‘Youthnet”,the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Platform, the Greek Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, the Network of Thessaloniki’s NGOs - Thess-DIKTYO, the Civil Society Observatory of Central Macedonia and the Hellenic Platform for Development. Moreover, UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki runs a large number of programs. Regional initiatives in cooperation with NGOs, Foundations and International Organization. This framework provides for the effective dissemination and exploitation of the projects results, in terms of both publicity and diffusion as well as experience through previous projects management.
